The round red carpet waits

The iconic red carpet at a TEDx event is reserved for voices calling for change. Speakers stand in the spotlight, but the focus is on the power of their ideas—ideas shared as gifts to inspire, transform, and call each of us to be our best

The speaker selection process for TEDxSurrey 2025 has been completed.

Further information about the Speaker selection process for TEDxSurrey 2026 will be provided in the spring of 2025

Our Curation Team

The Curation Team is made up of five team members whose responsibility is to seek out and select the twelve speakers for our event. It is a challenging process that takes more than five months and includes many connections with prospective speakers. We go through a process that includes information meetings; application forms; a shortlist of speakers for audition; and then the selection of the final 12 speakers.

Here’s what our speakers have to say about their experience.

LICENSEE & CURATOR

As the founder of TEDxSurrey in 2018, I needed to build a strong team for the many important responsibilities. I chose to be the Curator because it allows me to have the wonderfully creative experience of working with a team to find the best speakers, with the best ideas, each year. We start the process with a blank slate and we finish each year with an amazing team of speakers.

It’s a joy to work with an exceptional team of bright, capable, and insightful people dedicated to a selection process that is fair and equitable at every stage.

CURATION TEAM COORDINATOR

In the summer of 2018, I received a phone call from Curator Alan Warburton asking if I would like to join the Curation Team for what would eventually become TEDxSurrey. Several years later, I have loved every minute of my time on the team. It allows me to interact with individuals who are wildly passionate about their ideas; their passion and enthusiasm are infectious. I feel a sense of purpose and accomplishment in answering the speaker’s questions and helping the rest of the team sift through the numerous applications we receive each year.

CURATION TEAM

As a curious adventurer, I have a passion for people and ideas which has been a guiding light in my life. I was fortunate to be a TEDxSurrey speaker in 2019. This experience inspired me to be of greater service and I was invited to join the Curation Team in 2022. I am grateful for the creative and versatile team that continues to uplift and is a beacon of light that shines in all directions. I love working with the Curation Team as we collaborate, uplift, and encourage ideas that enrich the community and global family at large.

CURATION TEAM

I’m a ‘no-nonsense’ dynamo born to catapult heart-centred entrepreneurs and thought leaders to build impactful brands, businesses, and lives. My engagement with TEDx deepened after delivering two TEDx Talks, now viewed over 3.9 million times. Drawn by the vibrant community of TEDxSurrey and the potential to create massive positive change, I joined the Curation Team four years ago. Being part of this family means nurturing bright minds and always seeking transformative ideas worth sharing. It’s here, among amazing talents, that I find joy in helping to bring groundbreaking insights to the stage and beyond.

CURATION TEAM

As a former TEDx speaker, I’ve experienced the profound ‘Human’ evolution that unfolds from sharing ideas on the big red circle. While TEDx aspires to influence the world, its hidden power lies in the internal transformation it sparks in speakers. As a member of the curation team, I have the fortune of helping to orchestrate an amazing experience for our audience by assembling a diverse cast of speakers with impactful messages. Watching others take the stage and witnessing their transformative journeys is even more impactful and fulfilling than when I delivered my talk in 2023: How to Escape Hero Culture.
