Tips

Since the Curation Team is unable to offer any feedback or help on any specific application, we’ve compiled these essential tips to help you craft a standout TEDx speaker application. Follow these guidelines to ensure your submission is polished and complete, giving you the best chance for success.

  • Make sure to proofread your application and draft script carefully for any spelling or grammatical errors.
  • Make sure your draft script is copied and pasted to the end of your application form. There will be space for you to do so.
  • Make sure you follow the word limits on any questions.
  • Choose the ONE curation area you feel best represents your idea.
  • Write out your script as if you will be presenting this talk on the big stage tomorrow, and make sure you follow the 1,400 word limit! The Curation Team understands the script is a draft. Successfully chosen speakers will often cut down on their word count and go through many revisions before presenting their talks on the big stage.
  • Please make sure you submit your application and script in the WORD document format. Failure to do so will result in a delay in processing your application.
